In 1845 the Boston Associates
purchased 6 square miles from Andover and Methuen residents, established the
Essex Company and hired Charles Storrow to design a new town called
Lawrence. On this tour you will see the
actual documents and plans from the founding fathers of Lawrence as well as original
maps and documents in the walk in vault that was designed to hold them.
