In 1845 the Boston Associates purchased 6 square miles from Andover and Methuen residents, established the Essex Company and hired Charles Storrow to design a new town called Lawrence.  On this tour you will see the actual documents and plans from the founding fathers of Lawrence as well as original maps and documents in the walk in vault that was designed to hold them.
